Family held hostage in Sugar Land

Sugar Land family was robbed and held hostage in their upscale neighborhood home.

Monday at 10:20 a.m., the morning routine of a family in the 1600 block of Creekside Drive was shattered as four intruders crashed into the home through a back glass door of their Sugarwood residence.

The adult victims, two men and one woman, were tied up and held hostage as the armed intruders ransacked the home searching from valuables. After spending less than an hour in the home, the intruders left with jewelry, cash, and cell phones. Police department spokesperson Doug Adolph said none of the victims were physically injured in the melee.

The victims are reportedly owners of several businesses in the Houston section of Fort Bend County.

The suspects were described as four, 20 to 30 year old black males, who spoke with either a Jamaican or Nigerian accent.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Sugar Land Police Department at 281-275-2500.
