Rosenberg officer honored by Exchange Club

By LeaAnne Klentzman

The Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast District of the Exchange Club’s 43rd Annual Crime Prevention Gala, celebrated on April 19, Rosenberg Police Investigator Randall Leonhardt and other area law enforcement officers were recognized for their commitment to law enforcement and their community. The 13 officers recognized were selected based on a recommendation from their local departments. The gala was held at the Westin Galleria in Houston. The master ceremonies was KTRK’s Dave Ward, and the keynote speaker was Congressman Ted Poe.

Leonhardt joined the Rosenberg police department in 1996 as a dispatcher. He completed the police academy in 1999 and joined the department as a patrolman. He quickly became a field-training officer and today serves the department as an investigator. “Investigator Leonhardt has proven himself to be a diligent and thorough investigator. He is resourceful and meticulous in piecing together evidence to solve crimes. He is a strong contributor to the team,” stated Chief Robert Gracia.
