combined group of federal, state, and local narcotics agents arrested two in Richmond on drug charges.
A two month narcotics investigation culminated in the arrest of Juanita Sandoval, 31, and Marcus Cantu, 38, both of Richmond. Sheriff’s spokesperson Terriann Carlson said the two month investigation targeted a couple who were distributing cocaine from their Richmond home.
Just a day after Cantu’s 38th birthday law enforcement officers raided the home Cantu shares with Sandoval in the 300 block of Rochelle in Richmond.
According to Carlson, the investigation revealed that cocaine was being openly sold from the residence. During a search of the residence agents recovered 22 grams of Cocaine, as well as items used in distributing street level amounts of Cocaine, electronic scales, and plastic packaging material, said Carlson.
Sandoval and Cantu have both been charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance; over 4 grams but less than 200 grams; a First Degree Felony.
Judge Sears set the bond on Sandoval at $50,000. Cantu’s bond was set at $25,000.
