Richmond police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and bringing to justice the woman in the photograph who may be involved in a theft and forgery.
Richmond Police Sergeant Lowell Neinast said between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. on May 13, the woman was in the Treasure Hunter’s Gallery, a store at 302 Morton Street in Richmond. “An employee of the store noticed that after the woman left the store, the employee’s wallet and checkbook were missing from her purse,” said Neinast. Police were notified after the woman went to a bank in Rosenberg and cashed a stolen, forged check using the employee’s account, Neinast said.
The suspect is described as a black female, is approximately 5’7” to 5’9” tall, medium build, with black hair pulled back into a long pony tail. At the time of the incident she was wearing eye glasses with decorative gemstones. The photo of the alleged suspect was retrieved from the bank surveillance cameras.
