Lorenza Sam was arrested last week just days after he allegedly murdered Sienna Plantation resident and Sugar Land business owner Leesa Nascimento.
According to sheriff’s authorities, the murder of Nascimento could be linked to an employment related matter. Reportedly, Nascimento had accused employee Lorenza Sam, 31, of stealing from her and her business. She fired him. According to sheriff’s personnel, they believe he shot her in retaliation.
Leesa Nascimento was reported missing on July 7, 2010. Her body was discovered rolled in flooring material and dumped into Jane Long Lake near Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, just blocks from her business, on the morning of July 9, 2010. Sheriff’s spokesperson Terriann Carlson said Nascimento’s missing car was found on July 10, 2010, in a remote area of Binville Parish, in Louisiana.
Lorenza Sam was arrested on a murder warrant in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He is awaiting extradition back to Texas.
