Sugar Land police have caught a guy who gives a new meaning to the “Points of Light” campaign.
Early Monday morning in the Glen Laurel subdivision, a resident called police after witnessing a man liberating solar lights from neighbors yards.
Because the reportee was able to provide police with vehicle information, responding units were able to nab the culprit and chat with him. Seems that during their ensuing chat over a traffic violation, police discovered over 40 solar yard lights in the man’s car. Just so happened that the stop was on a street where lights had disappeared. Surely just a fluke!
Anyway, the keeper of lights went to jail for theft leaving police to search for the rest of the unsuspecting victims. Would ya’ ever dreamed there was a black market for $4 solar lights from the local discount store?
One thing is for sure...all 40 of those lights, shining together, would not have been bright enough for a decent interrogation.
Shine on fool.
