Rosenberg police are investigating the stabbing deaths of a mother and daughter at a home in the 2400 block of Chestnut Drive in the quiet Bayou Bend neighborhood.
According to Rosenberg police Lieutenant Colin Davidson, shortly after midnight, in the early morning hours of, December 27, 2009, a 911 call came into the police department regarding a domestic violence incident at the home on Chestnut. When police arrived on the scene they discovered two women had been stabbed.
Davidson said Mrs. Betty Jo Frank, 66, died at the scene. Her daughter, Keitha Frank Turner, 39, was taken by ambulance to Oak Bend Medical Center where she later died.
According to police, the family was gathered at the Frank’s home when the attacks occurred. Family members at the scene were able to identify the attacker as Albert James Turner, 44, also of Rosenberg . Arrest warrants for the murders have been issued for Turner, who is the husband of Keitha Frank Turner and son-in-law, to Betty Jo Frank. The Turner children, as well as Dr. Gene Frank, were in the home at the time of the attack. Dr. Frank was injured, but not seriously. The children were not injured physically.
Betty Jo Frank and Keitha Turner were both actively involved in the Living Water Christian School and church in Rosenberg. The founding pastor of Church of Living Water and Living Water Christian School is Dr. Gene Frank who is the husband of Betty Jo Frank and father of Keitha Frank Turner.
Police have been searching for Albert James Turner since the night of the murders but they have no new leads. Turner was described as a black male, 6’1” in height weighing about 270 pounds. He could possibly be driving a maroon, 1994 Honda Accord with Texas license plates 494 JFY. He was employed as a prison guard for TDCJ at one of the Jester Prison Units between Sugar Land and Richmond. Turner has not been seen or heard from since the murders.

Update at press time: Rosenberg Police detectives have been notified by Cobb County Georgia Police department officials that the 1994 Honda bearing Texas licence plate 494-JFY registered to Albert James Turner was located and partially submerged in the Chattahoochee River.
Cobb County Georgia Police is still on the scene. The suspect Albert James Turner is still at large and the focus of the manhunt has now shifted to Georgia.
