The 1st Annual C Different Triathlon will take place in Telfair Subdivision, Sugar Land, scheduled for Sunday, March 18.
The C Different Triathlon, The Telfair Triathlon is an inaugural race to support the visually impaired athletes that take challenges in life and in sport head. The C Different Foundation’s efforts are aimed to educate inspire and change perceptions through running and triathlon. Race Director Patty Godfrey, “I feel in love with the athletes from the C Different Foundation the first time I witnessed them racing along side and competing with other able bodied athletes. What the C different Foundation does for the sport of triathlon is truly amazing and I am proud to take part in creating their inaugural triathlon right hear in Sugar Land, Texas.”
The C Different Triathlon is an early season race kicking off on March 18 and is aimed to educate the triathlon community about the C Different Foundation and its athletes. This race has both a sprint and a super sprint race enabling athletes a fun and fast introduction to their season or to the sport as a whole. This race is also a Para-Athlete National Qualifying Race.
Distances are as follows: Sprint – 500 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 3 mile run; Super Sprint – 150 meter swim, 6 mile bike, 1.8 mile run.
The C-different Foundation was founded to inspire visually impaired people around the world to lead active and healthy lives. By connecting them with sighted guides involving communities to support their endeavors we achieve this.
