Pushing the limits – rocking climbing

Ellyn S. and Sarah M. enjoying rock climbing

One of the great benefits of rock climbing is the fun and joy it brings you. Climbing is challenging and taking on the new challenge can be very rewarding. Working up a good sweat, having fun with your friends, or finishing that route by climbing to the top is satisfying.

Girl Scouts from Troops 721 and 724 in Rainbow Stars Service Unit went to Stone Moves to test their rock climbing skills and celebrate Girl Scout cookie season. But not only did they test their skills at rock climbing, the girls from Troop 721 tested their trust of each other – as each girl was given the opportunity to “belay” another girl. When you belay you literally hold your partner’s life in your hands, so you need do it right – every time.
