Local author and former NFL player, Casey Printers, met with student athletes at Marshall High School to offer friendly advice on preparing for life after high school. Hosted by Marshall’s Library Media Center staff, the author visit gave students the opportunity to hear “first-hand” accounts of Printers’ education and life experiences that led to his successful career in sports.

Printers is also a motivational speaker and author of From High School to the Pros. In the book, he shares how he became a leader on and off the football field. After college, Printers played professional sports with the Canadian Football League’s (CFL) British Columbia Lions and the Hamilton Wildcats. He also played for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.

During his presentation at Marshall, he encouraged the young athletes to set and pursue goals, learn the rules of engagement, and to seek help in coping with life’s challenges. He also autographed posters and copies of his book for students.
