Nehls promoted in Afghanistan to Lieutenant Colonel
Trever J. Nehls, a Richmond resident and twenty third member of the United States Army Reserve was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel while serving in Afghanistan. Lieutenant General David M. Rodriguez, Commander of International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, had the honor of promoting LTC Nehls at a ceremony held in southern Afghanistan. LTC Nehls is serving his second tour in Afghanistan, following a 2004 deployment in Iraq. Nehls is a 2010 graduate of the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and has a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. In his civilian capacity, Nehls is employed with the Sugar Land Police Department. Shown in the photo is Lieutenant General David M. Rodriguez and Lieutenant Colonel Trever J. Nehls
