10th Anniversary QVProud Memorial Day Parade

Q. V. Proud’s 10th Anniversary of the Kid’s Bike, Dog, & Wagon Memorial Day Parade:  Kids of every age enjoyed the pre-parade demonstration by Missouri City Fire & Rescue, who also led the parade down LaQuinta and through the Cottage Section, whose residents once against hosted refreshments for participants of every age.  Pictured center, amongst parade goers, is Missouri City’s own Luke “Firewalker” Satterwhite who donned full firefighting gear to demonstrate to these young residents the safety paraphernalia required to fight fires.  Along with crew members Brad Brundett, Frank Luu and Pete Ondrusko these youngsters were reminded how important it is to drink lots of water when it is hot and also about Stop, Drop (cover your face) and Roll if they were ever to catch on fire!  Mayor Allen Owen along with City Council Members Floyd Emery and Bobby Marshall were also hand to remind residents what Memorial Day and patriotism is all about.
