Rice Coach Ben Braun brings basketball camps to Sugar Land

After years running one of the most successful basketball camps in the state of Texas, Rice University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ben Braun, is bringing his staff and players south along US-59 to offer an convenient opportunity for boys and girls in the Fort Bend County and surrounding communities.

The camp will be held Monday through Friday, June 20-24 at Fort Bend Baptist Academy in Sugar Land from 9am-1pm daily. Camp is open to all children entering 2nd – 10th grades at a cost of $210 per camper.

The camp will be under the direction of long time area coach and former Rice Assistant Coach, John Herndon, known to most everyone in the Houston basketball community as “CH”. As camp director at Rice for over 15 years, CH will personally oversee the daily teachings and instruction which will consist of daily individual and team offensive and defensive skills and fundamentals. With a staff compromised of current and former high school and college basketball players and coaches, campers will receive high quality instruction in a fun and energetic atmosphere, yet serious enough for the most competitive of athletes.
