Fort Bend Teen Service League Glitter & Gloss raises $14,900

The red carpet was out and the celebrities arrived for the biggest event in Fort Bend – Glitter & Gloss Red Carpet Rendezvous on April 2 at The Honor Roll School! Justin Bieber, The Jonas Brothers, and Taylor Lautner (or their cardboard likenesses) all made appearances. The stars were spotted smiling for the cameras and posing for paparazzi snapping photos of everyone who arrived. Girls of all ages came to enjoy a day dedicated to just being a girl.

The Teen League worked hard the past year preparing for this event, but as Ailen Vega said, “ Every moment was worth it. All the hard work and planning paid off once we saw our final product. And the product was amazing, to say the least!” The Glitter & Gloss event was a huge success for both the Teen League and FBJSL! Nothing can take away the wonderful experience shared by everyone who planned the event, volunteered and attended.

A very special thank you goes to all of the event’s sponsors, most notably, the title sponsor, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. The event could not have happened without the sponsorship support of community businesses, and generous individuals who helped FBTSL and FBJSL raise $14,900 to support FBJSL’s Community Assistance Fund (CAF).

FBJSL accepts CAF applications throughout the year for grant funding up to $5,000 per year. Applicants must be non-profit organizations serving Fort Bend County with requests to fund a critical need, a pilot program and/or expand a significant service to the community.
