Funeral services for Theodore (Ted) Rankin Bowen, Jr., 83, of Sargent, will be held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, September 30, 2011 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg with Rev. Tony Wolfe officiating.  Interment will follow in Morton Cemetery in Richmond.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

Ted was born January 22, 1928 and passed away on September 26, 2011.  “The nicest kind of guy you would ever want to meet”.  After retiring from Imperial Sugar, Ted made his home in Sargent with his love of many years, Lillie Keith.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Catherine (Katie) and Ted Bowen, Sr. and his wife, Edlow Jean in 1961.

He leaves many loved ones; his children, Dyer Bowen and wife, Doris, Rankin Bowen and wife, Roxanne, and Carol Bowen Salley; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; step children, Lee Barron and husband, Glen, Ted Doucet and wife, Mary; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He also leaves behind Lillie Keith and her children, Debbie Clayton and husband, Ralph, Anissa Carter, Kim Keith, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; along with other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers will include Christopher Bowen, T. R. Bowen IV, Kurt Inza, Larry Brau, Ryan Jankowski and Robert Knight.

Honorary pallbearers will include Theo Doucet and Stan Ulcak.
