GUNSMOKE: Season Five, Volume One – CBS Paramount

Matt Dillon (James Arness) is in charge of Dodge City, a town in the Wild West where people often have no respect for the law. He deals on a daily basis with the problems associated with frontier life: cattle rustling, gunfights, brawls, standover tactics, and land fraud. Such situations call for sound judgment and brave actions: of which Marshal Dillon has plenty.  This set includes the first 20 episodes of the fifth season of Gunsmoke.

HORRIBLE BOSSES – Warner

Horrible Bosses is about three friends, Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis), and Dale (Charlie Day), commiserate about their three respective employers. Nick’s boss is Dave (Kevin Spacey), a control-freak megalomaniac. Kurt’s is Bobby (Colin Farrell), a skeevy cokehead. And Dale’s is Julia (Jennifer Aniston), a sexual harasser who never misses an opportunity to prey. Suddenly, there’s a Hitchcockian twist: What if each of the miserable workers could make one of the others’ worst nightmares go away? But Horrible Bosses is no Strangers on a Train. Instead, it’s a rollicking romp of bad-intentions-gone-even-worse.

UP FROM SLAVERY – Mill Creek

The Dramatic story of Black Slavery in America from the first arrival of African slaves at Jamestown in 1619 to the Civil War and the ratification of the 15th Amendment in 1870 which prohibits the government from denying a citizen the vote based on race, color, or previous condition of servitude (i.e., slavery) – the third of the Reconstruction Amendments which finally ended the legitimacy of Slavery in the United States.

CHUCK: Season Four – Warner

In the Chuck Season 4 DVD, “Chuck” continues its highly entertaining blend of drama, comedy, and romance. Nice guy computer nerd and newly minted CIA agent Chuck Bartkowski (Zachary Levi) is finally teamed, both personally and professionally, with the lovely and deadly CIA agent Sara Walker (Yvonne Strahovski). At the beginning of the Chuck Season 4 DVD, Chuck and best buddy Morgan (Joshua Gomez) search for Chuck’s long missing mother Mary Bartkowski (Linda Hamilton), thought to be a rogue agent working for the villainous international arms dealer Alexei Volkov (Timothy Dalton). In a multi-episode sequence, Chuck, Morgan, Sara and the famously gruff NSA agent John Casey (Adam Baldwin) track and eventually confront Mary Bartkowski and Volkov. Mary’s loyalties are something of a mystery, especially after she deprives Chuck of the use of the Intersect embedded in his brain, which provides him with his spy skills. Season Four was originally scheduled for 13 episodes, before being extended to a full season.

ZOOKEEPER – Sony

Griffin is a disaster with the ladies, as was proved by his failed marriage proposal to the self-absorbed Stephanie several years ago, but he’s really good with animals. The animals have listened to Griffin pine over Stephanie for years, so when they overhear Stephanie saying that perhaps her rejection of Griffin was too hasty, they take action. They decide to help Griffin rekindle the relationship and become the alpha male that Stephanie wants him to be. The animals are masters at mating, but their plan to show Griffin how to act quickly breaks down and they inadvertently begin talking out loud to him. After his initial shock, Griffin starts to take the animals’ advice seriously–from how to walk and roar to the extreme of marking his territory.

THE LEAGUE: Season Two – Fox

Suit up for Season 2 of The League, the hilarious fantasy football comedy that elevates humiliation to an art form. After a wild road trip to Vegas to kick off the draft, the season hits its stride as Taco finds a toilet seat made out of cocaine, Ruxin goes to outrageous lengths to meet an NFL player, and Pete fashions a league loser’s trophy from a bull’s privates. Keep your head on a swivel for guest stars like Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Suggs and Josh Cribbs – plus unrated bonus features that go so far out of bounds, the censor must have swallowed his whistle!

BONANZA: Season Two, Volume Two – CBS Paramount

The Cartwrights are back – Ben (Lorne Greene), Adam (Pernell Roberts), Hoss (Dan Blocker) and Little Joe (Michael Landon) – in the last 16 Season Two episodes of Bonanza, complete with its stirring theme song and uncut on DVD for the first time. Join America’s first family of the West in this four-disc collectible set as they battle outlaws, help the needy and romance beautiful ladies at the spectacular Ponderosa ranch and in rip-roaring Virginia City.

But there is one problem, the girls are organized, cunning and have an agenda of their own. Its not long before the girls, led by Big Wendy (Jenae Alt) and Little Wendy (Eli Jane) pick up on Johnny’s tactics and Hollywood becomes one big booby trap.

SUMMER SLAM 2011 – WWE

Its the biggest event of the Summer, and it continues to shine in Hollywood! The WWE Universe will be watching as the Superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment bring SummerSlam to the Staples Center. Last years show saw WWE and World Heavyweight Championship Matches and a 7-on-7 battle pitting the best of Raw against the upstart Nexus. Who knows who the superstars of Raw and SmackDown will top themselves?

THE LADDER MATCH 2: Crash and Burn – WWE

This is the veritable definition of high risk, high reward in sports entertainment, a rich reward hangs high above the ring and a superstar must climb a ladder to win the match and retrieve the prize.
