Lamar Junior High donates to Red Cross for Bastrop fire victims
The Lamar Junior High Student Council, National Junior Honor Society and the FFA raised $650 to donate to the Red Cross for the Texas wildfire victims. Additionally, the thespians, led by Tress Kurzym, delivered Lamar Junior High’s in-kind donations worth more than $1,100 to the Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop for the numerous teachers and students that lost their homes in the fires. Many of the donations were school supplies to help the students there. Shown are the students that helped in raising money for the fire victims.
