James Bolling

James Bolling, 72, a devoted  husband and father, was called home on Friday, December 23, 2011 to spend Christmas with his Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was born October 13, 1939 in Houston, Texas and died peacefully at his home in Sugar Land, TX with his loving wife by his side, on Friday, December 23rd after a two year battle with ALS.

James was a quiet, humble man.  Among his accomplishments, James  earned a BS in Accounting from the University of Houston, served in the US Air Force, and worked for the US Postal Service retiring after 36 years of service.  James enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling, and had an affinity for history and studying the Bible.  He is preceded in death by his parents,  Alfred and Dixie Bolling.   He is survived by his wife, Sandra, as well as his sister, Melinda  Greensage and husband Eugene; daughter, Jeanette Bolling and husband, Jim Balloun; daughter, Sandra Romine daughter Karen Bolling; stepson, Ed Pienkosz Jr. and wife Celia; stepdaughter, Kristen Correll and husband, Charles;  stepson, David Pienkosz, eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service celebrating James’ life will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Teresa’s Church in Sugar Land at 1:00pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to Vitas Hospice Care, Houston, TX.
