Elizabeth (Loew) Pettiet

Elizabeth (Loew) Pettiet, 84, of Richmond, TX answered the call from her Heavenly Father on January 4, 2012. Born Dec. 1, 1927-Tamaqua, PA, a daughter of the late E.W. and Emily (Focht) Loew; sister, Louise (Loew) Earthman) and brother, Edgar Loew. From Kearney Street in Fort Bend County she “walked the walk” for the Lord Jesus Christ in her everyday life. She taught all she met as much as she could about Jesus and his unconditional love and, whenever possible, phonics and cursive writing.

Survived by three brothers all of PA: Frank and Bill Loew, Lancaster and Jack Loew, Abington; and four daughters, all of Texas: Debby Tollett (Mark), Dona Bubenik (Johnny), Dana Swearengin (Johnny) and Emily Zugar (Gary), 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and their families including a very special young lady and honorary member of the family, Ms. Tonya Money.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 am at Great Oaks Baptist Church, 7101 FM 2759, Richmond, TX, 77469. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Great Oaks Baptist Church in her honor to be used for a new playground.

Matthew 18:5. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes Me.

Luke 12:48. But the one who did not know… Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.
