The Smith Elementary Rhythm Club is beating a happy cadence thanks to their new steel drums, courtesy of a grant from the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (L.E.A.F.). The grant provides Smith music teacher Malory Waldo and her students an opportunity for students to make high quality music in a socially safe and positive environment.

Men Who Cook, L.E.A.F’s major fundraiser, is scheduled for Saturday, February 18.  To receive Information on how to get tickets for this event, underwritten by Andy Sanford and Diana Alexander of RBC Wealth Management, call Janice Knight at 832-223-0334 or www.leafgrants.org.
