YIP students partner with Second Mile Mission Center

On Saturday, Youth in Philanthropy students partnered with Second Mile Mission Center to provide boxes of fresh produce for 200 Fort Bend County families in need.

Students prepared and distributed a total of 10,688 pounds of bread, potatoes, cabbage, oranges and bananas to families who attended the food outreach. Youth in Philanthropy is a service group presented by The George Foundation and the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce.

Second Mile Mission Center is a nonprofit benevolence organization providing crisis care needs for families and individuals in Fort Bend County. Second Mile is completely funded by donations from individuals, churches and organizations in the community.
