Sugar Land artist Donald Walker paintings on display

Sugar Land Artist Donald H.Walker will be exhibiting in the 16th Annual Citywide African American Artists Exhibition, Houston. The exhibition commences February 1, 2012 and ends March 3, 2012. The exhibition will include the work of over 60 artists who reside in the greater Houston Metropolitan Area.

The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) is sponsoring this event. The exhibition is curated by Michael Taylor, artist/curator, juried by Floyd Newsum Professor of Art, University of Houston, George Smith, Professor Emeritus of Art, Rice University and Joan Bristow, Artist.

The exhibition will be shown at two venues: HeritagePlaza Lobby, 1111 Bagby, Houston, and Community Artists’ Collective,1413 Holman St, Houston. Opening celebrations are Wednesday, February 1, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Plaza location and Friday, February 3, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Community Artists’ Collective.

Donald is a member of the Sugar Land Area Artists and the Visual Arts Alliance of Houston, and has served on the board of both organizations.

He is honored to have his art selected and included in the company of so many talented artists.
