Clements linebacker Alec Davison commits to Columbia University

Fort Bend Clements (Texas 5A) football standout, Alec Davison, formally committed to attend Columbia University this fall as a student-athlete. Columbia, located in the heart of New York City, is a member of the prestigious Ivy League.

ESPN College Recruiting ranks Davison as one of the top inside linebackers in the nation (#31).

An outstanding student, Davison maintains a 4.0 GPA and was recently named

to an Academic All -State Football Team by The Texas High School Coaches Association.

“I would like to thank all of my teammates, teachers, coaches, parents and a number of others for helping me achieve my goal of playing Division I college football for a premier university with an outstanding academic reputation”, Davison said.

Davison plans on studying Psychology and Business at Columbia and pursuing a career as an entrepreneur upon graduation.

Alec is the son of Kyle and Gretchen Davison of Sugar Land. His sister, Carly (age 12), attends Fort Settlement Middle School.
