“Where’s the Beef?” asks Star reader
One thing that really ticks me off is being taken. I went to Lubys in Stafford on Sunday after church. I went down the line and saw this huge chicken fried steak and my mouth started watering. It was so big, it didn’t fit on the plate.
We sat down and I began my chicken fried steak quest. I cut an inch into the delicious morsel and all there was was batter. I cut another inch and just batter .. another inch and more batter. I took the steak apart and the meat composed of a 3 inch by 3 inch piece of thinly pounded meat that cost $9.95.
Wow, did I feel taken! Don’t be taken too, avoid the chicken fried steak. I sent a email to the home office on Sunday night and as of Wednesday have heard nothing about the disappearing chicken fried steak.
I just ask” Where’s the Beef?”
