Subject: Basic Archery Instructor Course set for May 4

PE, Outdoor Adventure, & Ag Science Teachers as well as coaches are encouraged to participate in the Texas-National Archery in the Schools Program (TASP) Basic Archery Instructor Course on Friday, May 4, from 7:45 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Extension Education Center located at 1402 Band Road in Rosenberg.

The trainer will be Burnie Kessner, Texas Parks & Wildlife Archery Coordinator.  The $45 registration fee will be waived for schools.  Interested persons should submit a check payable to:  TASP, c/o Teresa Meyers; 6140 Dick Price Road; Fort Worth, TX  76140.

The Texas-National Archery in the Schools Program (TASP) promotes student education and participation in shooting sports.  The program’s focus is to provide international-style target archery training in 4th thru 12th grade physical education classes.

Participants will gain certification as a Basic Archery Instructor with the Texas-National Archery in the Schools Program.  Comfortable clothing such as shorts and tees should be worn.  All equipment and supplies are provided.
