Intro computer classes to be held at Missouri City Branch Library

Fort Bend County Libraries’ Adult Services staff at Missouri City Branch Library, 1530 Texas Parkway, will present free, introductory computer classes this month on basic computer and Internet use. The classes will consist of a hands-on introduction to basic skills for people who would like to learn more about using these tools.

The “Computers 101” class will take place on Tuesday, May 1, beginning at

7:00 pm, in the Conference Room. The class will be repeated on Wednesday, May 2, beginning at 10:00 am. This class presents a basic introduction to using computers.

The “Hands-On Internet” class will take place on Tuesday, May 8, beginning at

7:00 pm, in the Conference Room. The class will be repeated on Wednesday, May 9, beginning at 10:00 am.

The “MS Word Survival Basics” class will take place on Tuesday, May 15, beginning at 7:00 pm, in the Conference Room. The class will be repeated on Wednesday, May 16, beginning at 10:00 am.

The “MS Excel Survival Basics” class will take place on Tuesday, May 22, beginning at 7:00 pm, in the Conference Room. The class will be repeated on Wednesday, May 23, beginning at 10:00 am.

The classes are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Missouri City Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2100, or by visiting the library.
