3-Peat for an area student selected as Texas All-State Musician
Kelli Valdez, a member of Kempner High School Choir performed with the Texas All-State Choir in San Antonio on February 11, for a third year in a row. She was chosen for this honor through a competitive process held this year across the state at District, Region and Area levels. All-State is the highest honor a Texas music student can receive.
Kelli is a student of Ms. Jennifer Frnka and sings at Kempner under the direction of Ms. Pamela Hall who is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association.
In addition to singing Kelli is also a 4 year starting varsity soccer player. She is as passionate about playing soccer as she is singing. Kelli has dedicated all her high school accomplishments to her proud grandmother, Gladys Baez, who eventually lost her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Kelli is the daughter of Mike and Monica Valdez.
