Five FBISD schools in top 10 Children at Risk ranking lists

Children at Risk researched and ranked 1,196 public schools in the Greater Houston area and five Fort Bend ISD schools are recognized in the top 2012 Children at Risk ranking lists.

Ranked No. 5 among the Top Middle Schools is Fort Settlement Middle School. Among the Top Elementary Schools are: Commonwealth Elementary School, ranked No. 4; Colony Meadows Elementary School, ranked No. 7; and Walker Station Elementary School, ranked No. 8. Also included in the Top 10 Children at Risk ranking list for Top High Schools in Science and Mathematics is Clements High School, ranked No. 4.

Children at Risk strives to improve the quality of life of children across Texas through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. The organization educates parents, educators, community members and public officials based on its groundbreaking research which tracks children’s health, safety, education, and economic conditions. For several years, Children at Risk has evaluated the public schools in Greater Houston to hold schools accountable for providing quality public education to all of our students, and has recently extended this report to include all public schools across Texas.
