Fort Bend ISD schools to take part in National Lab Day

Students from all 74 FBISD schools will take part in National Lab Day on May 9. The district-wide initiative is designed to build local communities of support to help foster ongoing collaborations among business and community volunteers, students and educators.

On Lab Day, volunteers, including scientists, engineers, college and university students, will work together with educators and students to bring discovery-based science experiences to students in grades K-12.

Students will perform science investigations on the theme of “Rubber Band Races.” FBISD’s goal is to support and promote the importance of science in the community.
