4th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ride set for May 12

The Sugar Land Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association organized this “Parade of Chrome” Memorial Ride to be held May 12, and will gather at 12707 Southwest Freeway with registration from 2-4 p.m. Entry fee is $35 and all civilians with motorcycles who would like to join this Memorial Ride are welcomed.

The memorial ride continues a local tradition of honoring men and women who routinely place themselves in harm’s way to protect and serve. Each of the past three years, the community has joined police officers for a motorcycle procession that honors National Police Week.

The Fort Bend Regional SWAT team vehicle, known as the Bearcat, will join the procession of police and civilian riders as they embark for Constellation Field, the home of the Sugar Land Skeeters, arriving at 5:45 p.m.

Other festivities at the stadium will include presentation of colors by Sugar Land’s police honor guard and a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace by Sugar Land Fire Lt. Robert Rogers.

  1. I love to see the bike and the mascot. It is always good to get involve in honoring men and women who give security service. This way you can tell that you really appreciate their work and love for the people.
