Texas AgriLife Extension hosts master clothing volunteer leader training

The Family and Consumer Sciences Department of Texas AgriLife Extension, Fort Bend County is hosting a Master Clothing Volunteer Leader Training June 18-22.

If you already have sewing skills and you are looking to help young people learn how to sew, this is for you.  Clothing construction is an acquired skill and is growing in popularity, especially in young people.  This training will provide you with materials to work with youth and adults while improving your own sewing skills.

The training will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day and conclude by 4:00 p.m. each day.  Agenda will include basic sewing techniques, serger sewing, fitting – tools and techniques and completed take home projects.  Registration fee is $100.

Registration forms are available through the Extension office or online at www.fortbend-tx.tamu.edu.  The training will be held at the Extension office located at 1402 Band Road, Suite 100, Rosenberg.
