John C. “Chipper” Minott, Jr.

Funeral services for John C. “Chipper” Minott, Jr., 53, of Sugar Land, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, May 21, 2012 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home.

Chipper was born April 2, 1959 in Odessa, Texas to the late Helen (Allen) and John C. Minott, Sr.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, even coaching his children’s soccer games for many years.  Chipper also enjoyed cars, especially Corvettes as well as playing the drums.  He passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2012 in Odessa, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Becky Minott; children, Trey and Kendra Minott; sister, Ginny Van Arsdall and husband, Joe of San Antonio; mother-in-law, Peggy Brewer; brothers-in-law, Bryan Brewer and wife, Tanya and Ricky Brewer and wife, Pam all of Odessa; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
