Plans underway for Sugar Land’s 27th Annual “Red, White and Bluefest”

The City of Sugar Land will host its 27th annual “Red, White and Bluefest” Wednesday, July 4, from 5-10 p.m., at Oyster Creek Park, 4033 State Highway 6 South.

The Sugar Land and surrounding community is invited to join the celebration of America’s 236th birthday with performances on the main stage by 80’s rock/pop cover band Thunderpants and country music group Rhythm of the Road.

A children’s stage will include magic shows, clown performances and cultural dance groups.

Patriotic performers will roam the park entertaining the thousands of guests, and food and refreshments from various onsite vendors will be available for purchase.

The day will close with an 18-minute spectacular fireworks show that will color the sky with magic and majesty. Don’t miss this year’s state-of-the-art fireworks finale, a show that will include some new surprises and high-tech upgrades.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses interested in showcasing their brands to the estimated 20,000 to 30,000 attendees.

A free shuttle service will be provided from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., to Oyster Creek Park from 4:30-11 p.m.
