Kudos to BSA Troop 911
Dear Beverly,
I’d like to tell you about Boy Scout Troop 911 and their fundraiser, “Stars and Stripes Over Sugar Land”. For $25 annually they will place a U.S. Flag in your front yard on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
What a beautiful sight it is to stand in my front yard on Borden St. looking north, south, and west, and see all the flags waving. Not everyone subscribes but many put out their own flags.
As far as I know, only the Belknap/Brookside subdivision has a scout troop that offers this service. It brings joy to my heart to see these young scouts at sunrise rushing to get all the flags up. They remove them at sundown.
