Katy man arrested after child makes outcry

Details are sketchy, but a pre-teen girl made an outcry of a sexual assault last week. According to sheriff’s spokesman Bob Haenel, a young girl was sexually assaulted on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The following day, she told her mother and the sheriff’s office was contacted, an investigation ensued.
A short time later, Haenel said deputies were called to a rural area to find the suspect in this case, Jason Ernstes, threatening to kill himself. Haenel said, “ Ernstes eventually surrendered to deputies before harming himself.”
Ernstes is in the Fort Bend County Jail with a $100,000 bond.
