FCST swimmers compete at Western National

First Colony Swim Team traveled to Midland to compete in the 2012 Western National.

First Colony Swim Team sent 20 swimmers to the 2012 Western National in Midland, Texas on June 14-17. Teams from across the state of Texas as well as New Mexico competed in this annual meet that raises money for their USA club team.

First Colony had two swimmers earn the high point award for scoring the most points. Congratulations to Bryanna Vasquez & Chris Yeager for achieving the high point award for their individual age groups; Bryanna won the 11-12 Girls high point while Chris won the 13-14 Boys high point.

While at the meet, the swimmers had an opportunity to participate in a backstroke clinic put on by former World Record holder, Hayley McGregory.
