Lamar Secretaries complete successful trip to State Conference
Three Lamar CISD secretaries receive Certified Educational Office Professional certifications at the 2012 Texas Educational Support Staff Association (TESA) conference held in San Antonio.
Denise Krahenbuhl (Curriculum/Staff Development), Becky Melendez (Lamar Junior High) and Kendra Ramirez (Human Resources) all completed their requirements and graduated from the program.
All three are members of the Lamar Consolidated Educational Secretaries Association (LCESA). The group “provides educational and secretarial support through communication, skill building and fellowship.”
LCESA’s charter states their purpose is:
• To render greater service to the schools and patrons whenever possible.
• To promote greater efficiency and closer cooperation between the various support groups
• To promote a friendly relationship through social contact.
Sue Hand, secretary in the Transportation Department, ended her term as president of TESA and Marie Enax, secretary in Human Resources, served as Summer Work Conference Registration Chair. Hand was installed as Immediate Past President/Marketing Chair and Enax was installed as Member-At-Large Nominations Chairperson for the 2012-13 TESA Executive Board.
LCESA won the TESA Conference Spirit Award for the third straight year, was recognized for having the most members attending the conference and had the Most Creative Table Decoration at the TESA Banquet.
