Robert Culak named to National CASA Board of Directors
The National CASA Association announced the election of Sugar Land resident Robert Culak to its’ Board of Directors. Culak, a retired CPA who previously served as VP of Financial Reporting and Compliance for Sysco Corporations, has served on the Child Advocates of Fort Bend Board (CAFB) for twelve years. He is currently serving as Treasurer of CAFB’s Board.
“I applied to the Board of Trustees because I feel strongly about giving abused and neglected children the protection they deserve. If I can serve on the National Association and help in supporting advocates to protect these children, I feel that this is time well spent,” said Culak
Child Advocates of Fort Bend is a non-profit agency dedicated to providing a voice for abused and neglected children in Fort Bend County. With more than 200 volunteers, Child Advocates of Fort Bend currently serves more than 400 children each month through its Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program and Children’s Advocacy Center.
“Bob is a tremendous asset to our agency and I know that he will be invaluable to National CASA,” stated Ruthanne Mefford, Child Advocates of Fort Bend’s Executive Director.
