Scholarships awarded to students at annual luncheon celebration

On May 5, Suburban Houston Fort Bend Alumnae Chapter awarded over $21,000 in scholarships to eleven outstanding Fort Bend County high school seniors during the chapter’s annual May Week Luncheon Celebration.
The May Week luncheon is held each year to celebrate the accomplishments of Fort Bend youth who have participated in various sorority programs and activities throughout the year. Some of the chapter’s activities include programs for middle school girls Delta Academy), high school girls (Delta GEMs) and boys ages eleven to seventeen (EMBODI). The programs mentor, train and promote leadership amongst the youth.
