Sugar Land robbery suspect sketch released

By LeaAnne Klentzman

The Sugar Land police have released a composite sketch of the man believed to have robbed the Lenny’s Sub Shop late last month.

On June 29, around 1:30 p.m., the man who is pictured in the composite sketch robbed the Lenny’s Sub Shop, located at 11420 Dairy Ashford Road which is in north Sugar Land between West Bellfort and West Airport just off Alston Road.

According to Sugar Land police spokesman Doug Adolph, said, “The suspect entered the store, placed an order and walked to the register, where he displayed a handgun and demanded cash. An employee gave the man money from the register, and he ran away.”

That suspect was described as a black male with a slender muscular build. He is believed to be between 35 and 45 years of age, standing 5′ 3″ to 5’4″. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a brown or beige shirt with a collar that had a darker color stripe across the front, blue jeans, sunglasses and a black color baseball cap that had the word “HOODZ” in white letters across the front. Adolph said the suspect walked with a limp.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
