Lamar CISD becomes more “social” to reach out to the community

Lamar CISD is becoming more “social,” improving the District’s ability to communicate by introducing new methods of providing information.

The District has updated the look of its website and launched several new social media sites.

Lamar CISD now has a Facebook page, which is being updated on a regular basis. The District’s Twitter feed is also operational and is being used to spread information about the District. The website, Facebook and Twitter will all be used for general news, upcoming events and emergency updates.

Numerous Lamar CISD administrators — including Superintendent Dr. Thomas Randle — have Twitter accounts. The District’s Twitter feed — @LamarCISD — is a great place to start following them.

Rounding out the list of the District’s social sites are Pinterest and YouTube. The YouTube channel, when fully developed, will feature information about the District in a more “visual” medium.
