Fort Bend Family Health Center preparing for health fairs
Each year, in honor of National Health Center Week, Fort Bend Family Health Center (FBFHC) hosts its annual Back-to-School Health Fairs. This year’s health fairs will take place on August 11, 2012 in Missouri City and on August 18, 2012 in Richmond from
9:00 am until noon. During the fairs, families will be able to receive information about the health center as well as other services available to them throughout the county. Children 18 years old or younger can receive FREE immunizations (if a copy of the child’s shot record is shown), FREE dental and visions screenings, FREE scoliosis screenings, and FREE back packs filled with school supplies.
This year’s health fair theme is A Community Operation. Local officials and businesses have partnered with FBFHC for the fairs including Kevin Patton State Farm, All Star Storage, First Victoria Bank, Fluor Daniel, and Texas Children’s Health Plan, and Commissioner Grady Prestage. All members of the community are invited to participate. Anyone interested in donating or receiving general information about the fairs can contact Kelli Metzenthin at 281.633.3144.
