Special Crime Alert issued in New Territory shooting

Haenel said Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is willing to pay a cash reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in an early morning drive-by shooting in the New Territory subdivision.
Haenel said early Thursday morning, July, 19, about 1:45 am, sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of Wilkins Crossing. According to Haenel, the homeowner told deputies someone fired shots into their master bedroom.
“The husband said he was working in his home office and the wife was asleep in the master bedroom,” Haenel said. The couple acknowledged that they both heard popping noises but thought it was fireworks. Neither was injured in the incident.
