Vista Bank Texas, Fort Bend Star collecting school supplies for Fort Bend County Women’s Center Children at annual shred day, Aug. 18

Vista Bank Texas and the Fort Bend Star are teaming up to support the children served by the Fort Bend County Women’s Center through their annual school supply drive and shred day.

At the fourth annual Shred Day, scheduled for August 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Fort Bend residents can have their unneeded documents disposed of safely with the donation of three or more unused school supply items.

Bring all your old documents, bank and brokerage firm statements and other personal papers to Vista Bank Texas located at 4690 Sweetwater Blvd. at Lexington in Sugar Land. The Bank will have a professional document disposal company onsite providing shredding services in exchange for the donation of school supplies.

The Fort Bend County Women’s Center is especially in need of backpacks, manila paper, construction paper, markers, scissors (blunt and sharp), two-inch 3-ring binders, loose-leaf dividers, black ink pens, red ink pens, red checking pencils, 1-inch 3-ring binders, composition books, writing tablets, zip lock bags (quart and gallon), tissue, accordion folders/binders, map colors, head phones, flash drives, and combination locks.

“Identity theft is a major issue and this is a great opportunity for Fort Bend residents to safely dispose of personal documents,” said Phil Davis, CEO of Vista Bank Texas Sugar Land. “We are proud to help the children of the Fort Bend County Women’s Center while providing a valuable service to the community.”

For more information on Shred Day, call the Vista Bank Texas Sugar Land location at (281) 325-5000.
