At about 2 a.m.. Wednesday, Aug. 15, sheriff’s deputies responded to an alarm at the Cinco Ranch Express Store in the 2900 block of South Mason Road. When they arrived on the scene they discovered the front entry. Surveillance cameras captured the activities of the crooks.
According to the Sheriff’s spokesman, Bob Haenel, two suspects appearing to be between 20 – 30 years old shattered the store’s front door to gain entry. They then backed a white Ford F-250 pickup truck to the front entry of the store, followed by wrapping a cable around the nearby ATM machine and pulling it toward the door.
However, the cable broke free and the subjects left the scene, said Haenel.
Haenel described the first suspect as wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, black shorts with a white stripe on the side with black tennis shoes. The second suspect was described as wearing a black short-sleeved t-shirt over a white long-sleeved shirt, black shorts and black shoes with white trim. Both men were described as black males. The truck as stated was a white Ford F250 with chrome-looking wheels and a black square bar headache rack over the back window.
