Missouri City Rings the alarm and celebrates 1st Annual Fire & Rescue Services open house

All residents are encouraged to attend Missouri City’s First Annual Fire & Rescue Services Open House on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Station 1.
Missouri City’s Bravest is planning a Fall showcase so full of family fun; your loved ones won’t be able to extinguish their enthusiasm.
The First Annual Fire & Rescue Services Open House will be held at Station 1 on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The celebration will take place at 3849 Cartwright Rd. and feature a variety of activities and demonstrations, including:
• A Vehicle extrication presentation; scheduled for 11 a.m.
• A simulated smoke house to exhibit hazards associated with a typical home fire; firefighters will share effective evacuation techniques for families to practice
• Fire extinguisher training for adults; firefighter skills drills for children
• Exit Drills residents can practice at Home
• Tours of the firehouse and of a fire truck
“We are committed to providing fire protection and education programs to the community and our inaugural open house gives firefighters the unique opportunity to engage citizens one-on-one,” said Fire Chief Russell Sander. “Everyone is invited to join us and have fun while learning life-saving safety tips.”
