Young golfers learn with Quail Valley and The First Tee
Children who want to learn more about the game of golf and the game of life will have their chance now that the Quail Valley Golf Course has teamed up with The First Tee of Greater Houston. The First Tee provides learning facilities and educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
The First Tee will deliver entry-level life skills programming at Quail Valley while additional funding is being raised to build a learning facility.
The First Tee In-School Program is currently in 11 elementary schools within Fort Bend ISD. In addition to the Quail Valley location, The First Tee is also at the Red Stone Golf Club in Humble and the Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley.
Programming begins on September 22 for children ages 7-18 with a parent orientation session on September 11 at 6 p.m. Register at www.thefirstteeofgreaterhouston.org.
Interested volunteers are invited to attend a training session on August 30 at 5 p.m.
