Austin Parkway Elementary benefits from Eagle Scout Project

Eagle Scout Ben Barrow (second from the right) is pictured at Austin Parkway Elementary School with (from left) Janna Hall, librarian; Dave Kinzelman, technical advisor; Donna Whisonant, principal; and Mary Prine, counselor.
Austin Parkway Elementary School received 12 new tables to use in its library and classrooms, thanks to Eagle Scout Ben Barrow of BSA Troop 1294 of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Barrow designed, built and painted the tables for the school as part of his Eagle Scout project. He also donated $70 to the school’s librarian for the purchase of new library books.
Barrow is currently a freshman at Clements High School and a former Austin Parkway Elementary School student. He has fond memories of time spent reading in his elementary school library and wanted to do something to benefit the entire student body at Austin Parkway.
