Nancy Jo Bennett

Nancy Jo Bennett, 59,  passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at home in Sugar Land, Texas on August 29, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Houston, Texas on July 22, 1953 to Virginia and Bill Hoyt.  She attended Westbury High School and worked at Texas Instruments until it closed. Using her talent as a floral designer, she worked for Michael’s for 27 years where she met and was loved by many friends and customers.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chris and her parents.  She is survived by her son Chad Bennett and fiancé Nazish Bhanji, brother John Hoyt and wife Shelley, nephews Michael Hoyt and wife Debra, John W. Hoyt and wife Melissa and Paul Hoyt and wife Anna along with eight great nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends, co-workers and customers because of her strong spirit, laughter and generosity.  She is now in the arms of her beloved Savior, Jesus Christ.

Special thanks to her friends at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church who supported her in so many ways.

Memorial services were held at Sugar Land First United Methodist Church and Graveside service was at Forest Park on September 1, 2012.
