Learn how to download eBooks to Kindles at library program

Did you get a new Kindle, but you’re not sure how to use it? Fort Bend County Libraries will present an introductory program, “Shift Into OverDrive with Kindles,” on Wednesday,

October 3, beginning at 10:00 am, in the Computer Lab at the Sienna Branch Library, 8411 Sienna Springs Blvd in Missouri City.

Learn how to download eBooks to your Kindle from the library’s online digital library collection, OverDrive. Those attending this class should bring their Kindle, their library card, and their PIN. Anyone who is just thinking about purchasing a Kindle may also like to attend to learn about other people’s experience with Kindles and to see how easy it is to download free eBooks from the library.

The class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, however, and reservations are required. To register online at the library’s website (www.fortbend.lib.tx.us), click on “Calendar,” select “Sienna Branch,” and find the program. Participants may also register by calling the library at 281-238-2952, or by visiting the library.
